The first part of the journey ends in Dorilli. In a few hours, Marianna Christofides, Gabriella Ciancimino, Malak Helmy, Andrew Mania, Pietro Ruffo, and Luca Trevisani transform the cellar and the estate close to Vittoria into an exhibition space, with the first notes and ideas collected during the itinerary. Some of them, who need more time to distil the thoughts and the experience they have just completed, set up some works made previously, to present their aesthetic research. The photographer, Leonardo Scotti, projects the first pictures taken during the trip across Sicily, from east to west, along an ideal pathway in search of the “maps and the myths of the Mediterranean”. In the coming months, the artists will undertake another trip, inside their studios, where the visions gathered in Sicily will take shape in new artistic productions. We will meet again in June for the exhibition, where the artists hosted by the seventh edition of the Journey Through Sicily will offer us their precious gaze over our territories.
